Hi, I’m Sarah, the photographer and videographer behind Souwarayi. I’m your favourite photographer in Antwerp for weddings, couples and families.
Ever since I was young, I loved telling stories, capturing moments, making memories…tangible. My graduation gift after high school back in 2014 was a DSLR. This ignited the passion I feel for photography and videography. By then I had been on youtube for five years! Yes, I know, the first wave of youtubers. Now 11 years later, I’ve done numerous weddings, couple shoots, maternity shoots and events.
My own journey has had a fair share of “waves”: studying, taking breaks, starting . Then I finally gave myself permission to build the creative life I’ve always wanted. Those ups and down taught me to notice the quiet moments in between: the deep breaths, nervous laughs, the way people look at you when you’re not paying attention. That is what I bring with me to every session and event.
How I work on your day
On your wedding or session day, my approach is to be your best-ad-interim. The calm friend with a camera fixing your dress, cheering you on, catching every moments and playing your hype-woman because you deserve to be hyped.
I pay attention to the small details you’ve poured your heart into: the way your outfit is laid out, the hug that lasts a little longer, the flowers you picked, the kids slipping in and out of frame. You get to be fully present in the moment, while I make sure the smallest ones get captured to last forever.

Your privacy, always respected
Something that’s really important to me: your privacy and comfort. I never share recognisable images of you, or your loved ones online without your clear, specific permission. Every family, every culture and community deals with showing faces differently and I treat that as a special boundary, not a marketing opportunity.
A simple and stress-free process
Working together should feel easy, effortless, keeping things straightforward:
- Enquiry: You fill in the contact form, give me a call, send me a whatsapp or email me with your date, location and what you’re dreaming of. I reply with my availability, pricing guide and a few quick questions to get to know you, plus details on the booking deposit to secure your date.
- Connection call: An intake call is when we fully connect and see if we’re a good fit, chat through timelines and expectations and talk about what matters most to you in your photos.
- Your day: On the day itself, I blend direction with documentary coverage. A little guidance for portraits and still shots, lots of space for real moments and a calm presence when everything around you starts to feel busy and overwhelming.
- Post-day-magic: You’ll receive a sneak peek as mentioned in the package of your choosing. Once the magic editing has happened, you receive a curated online gallery of high-res images; ready to download, share or print. For some wedding packages, you’ll also receive an elegant album with photos of your choice, that tells the full story of your day.
